This year Qualcomm has released its newest 14 nm mid-range chipset Snapdragon 660 and Snapdragon 630. If Snapdragon 660 is used in a number of high-end handsets, Snapdragon 630 is less enthusiastic. This is because Snapdragon 660 has been equipped with a more attractive Kyro chip. In addition to Snapdragon 660 and 630, Qualcomm reportedly also has set up the newest chipset that will be positioned between Snapdragon 660 and Snapdragon 630. As reported by GSMArena, this chipset will be named Snapdragon 635. It says Snapdragon 635 will be produced with a 14 nm LPP fabrication process containing Kyro's octa-core processor comprising four big cores for performance and four small cores for efficiency. Unfortunately, the rumor does not mention the clockspeed it has. For graphics performance, the GPU on this chipset is claimed to be 20 percent faster than GPU Snapdragon 625. If true, then the increase is not so great because the Snapdragon 630 that Qualcomm presented previously had a performance increase of 30 percent. In addition, Qualcomm is also rumored to be presenting Snapdragon 835 Plus (Snapdragon 836) chipset, with the same specs, but with processors and graphics running higher clockspeed. Production for this chipset is expected to begin in the first quarter of next year. Qualcomm is also suspected of having plans to bring the latest chipset, the Snapdragon 670. Prepared, this chipset will be the first 6xx series built with 10 nm manufacturing process and equipped with the latest generation Kryo core.
